Our Kinder Readiness class ensures that each child is socially, emotionally and academically ready for kindergarten.  

Children in the Kindergarten Readiness class will be prepared for the transition to kindergarten. Before moving on to Kindergarten, the children should be able to: 

•  Say their first & last name & write their first name. 
• Know the difference between letters in the alphabet & other symbols.
•  Know that in English words are written left-to-right & top-to-bottom on a page. 
• Say the number words correctly in order forward from 0 to 29  
• Name the next number for numbers up to 9 
• Sort objects by one or more quality (for example: color, shape, size) 
• Ask & answer questions in order to find help or get more information. 

By the end of the year, children will not only be equipped with the academic and social skills necessary for kindergarten but will also carry forward a strong foundation in emotional regulation, respectful interactions, and faith-based values that support their growth as kind, responsible, and engaged learners.
